Every leader is obliged to visit and pay attention to his people because he is considered as his parents. The leader is like the head of the family. He must be responsible for his children. He must not let his children starve, homeless, moreover he must fulfill his obligations.
Indonesia currently has seven leaders but the condition of society is still very worrying. Poverty, unemployment, discrimination, have never disappeared from this country. The poor remain poor, the excluded remain forgotten.
“There has been a lot of development in Papua since the era of President Jokowi”
Bung Karno once said give me ten youths and I will conquer the world. Then came the general who always smiled as a young man who was expected to change Indonesia. He led a very long time (1967 – 1998) with the emergence of Repelita considered to be able to change the face of Indonesia, but how can corruption cases and human rights violations in our country make the end of his reign. And so on until the president Joko Widodo.
Every Indonesian people have different judgments with different views. Whose children are happiest when they have seven fathers and whose father cares for them the most ?
One of them is the assessment of the Papuan people. People who from the past until now have wanted to ask for separation from the Republic of Indonesia remember being forgotten and neglected even though in the eyes of the United Nations Papua is part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia but in their household they are always forgotten, neglected and isolated.
Now the people of Papua are starting to open their eyes considering there is a figure who started to carry his stepdaughter and turned into a biological child. He is a good father figure to the Papuan people and he is Jokowi.
Jokowi is an Indonesian father because he is able to embrace the people from Sabang to Merauke. Regardless of fur, ethnicity and race. He still sees Papua as part of Indonesia.
Now the Red and White heirloom is flying again and lit up in Papua, why is that? The community wants to repay Jokowi’s services for his attention and dedication to Papua.
There is no doubt about the character and figure of this leader, the Youtefa bridge in Jayapura, the trans road in Wamena – the road connecting Jayapura to Wamena, and many others that are not mentioned one by one, these things make Jokowi deserve to be dubbed the “Father of Papuan Development”.
At the end of his term, Jokowi urged ministers to immediately accelerate development in Indonesia, especially in Papua. And also the KKB problem in Papua will be resolved immediately so that Papua remains calm and peaceful.
Does anyone doubt the quality of Jokowi’s leadership? Try to imagine of every leader of Indonesia, who is always made fun of by the people themselves? Only Jokowi who is always insulted, abused, even a lot of negative insinuations come to him, as long as it is remembered that “only trees that produce sweet fruit that people can throw stones” if the tree does not produce fruit it is impossible for people to throw it.
One question always comes from the people of Papua, “Who is the president who dares to come sit down and eat with the people?” If seen by previous leaders, coming to Papua can only be counted on the fingers, even to Papua it is strictly fenced and only sees its people through a dark glass, but unlike Jokowi, he dares to come to dance, walk and sit down to eat with the Papuan people, because in his heart the Papuan people are not enemies but the people. Indonesia that needs to be embraced and pampered like other people.
Jokowi even explicitly said that we cannot wait for good economic growth and then we build the infrastructure, economic growth in Papua will be good if there is development, especially connecting roads or trans roads, thereby supporting economic growth in Papua.
